The month of April was full of nuggets as Karen Whiting and Dorothy Featheringly awed us with their presentations. On an early Saturday morning, we had a special meeting where Royce King, a new member of our group, presented another teaching on marketing that grabbed everyone’s attention.
Our most exciting news comes with the publication of a new book of miracles compiled by me, Lynn Moffett. Twenty-three writers brought thirty-six stories to this compilation. Along with those in the WCCWN, Max Davisn Dave Slade, along with Sylvia McDaniel, all bestselling authors also added their stories to this book of Hope. For more information: lynnmoffett.com
WCCWN thrives on learning more about our craft. We are looking forward to May 10th when Kanaka Perea will present another Joyce Maynard video, "More on Writing Personal Essays" to follow up on her April 12th teaching.
May 24, we are eagerly anticipating what Julie Lavendar will bring for us.
Julie writes a monthly family column and monthly women's feature for her local newspaper, as well as various news and lifestyle pieces for the Statesboro Herald. In 2014, Julie was one of twelve winners for Guideposts Magazine's writers' contest and attended a weeklong session in New York with Guideposts editors to learn more about writing for their publications.
