Experience an Extreme Makeover by Jan Davis

When we accept Christ into our lives as our Lord and Savior, the forgiver of our sins, we experience an extreme makeover from the inside out. We are a new creation, created in His image and His likeness. He breathes into us the breath of life, His Holy Spirit. The old man has passed away and we are made new in Him.

He is the God of second chances, who makes something beautiful out of our ugliness. He sees us as His masterpiece, lovely and unique. At salvation He begins to mold us into the person we were created to be. He cleanses our filthy rags with His shed blood and washes them white as snow. He removes the scarlet coverings of our sins and wraps us in a white robe of righteousness and gives us garments of praise. He removes the sackcloth and envelops us in gladness, giving us the gifts of joy and peace. He adorns us with His mercy, clothes us in His grace and drapes a banner of love over us. He fills our empty lamps with the oil of His Holy Spirit and His light radiates within us.

When we appear before Him dressed in our royal apparel, we will receive a crown of life, glory and righteousness, which we will graciously lay at the feet of the One who accomplished an extreme makeover, making something beautiful out of the ashes of our lives.

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Isaiah 61:10 “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness.”

Psalms 30:11 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing: you have put off my sackcloth, and enclosed me with gladness.”

2 Timothy 4:8 (a) “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.”

James 1:12 (b) “he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.”

1 Peter 5:4 “And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.”

I love you, but Jesus loves you more!
